The majority of extensive treatment plants are aerated using high speed surface aerators . These aerators suffer from odor problems, high energy consumption and no control over the air flow rate (ON/OFF systems). Mapal offers up to 70% reduction in energy consumption with an option to control the air flow volumes.  Mapal's blowers are controlled by VFD which maintain the required level of DO and save energy whenever possible.
